Ron Leigh established the store not long after finishing school and has now developed the business into a home for musicians of all ages. Ron began his musical journey in the early 70’s as a music teaching school. Ron’s rich experience from studying classical guitar saw him teaching in some of Melbourne’s most prestigious private schools.

Ron also worked as Musical Director for Colleen Hewett and John Farnham (including a Royal Command Performance for Prince Charles).

Throughout Ron’s career, he has played guitar for hugely successful musicals such as Godspell and Pippin, played and recorded guitar for jingles, commercials, albums and even live television performances from the Sydney Opera House with Tommy Tycho.

Ron has studied and subsequently taught at the world famous Guitar Institute of Technology (now re-named Musicians Institute) in Los Angeles USA. In addition, Ron co-managing the careers of Tommy Emmanuel, The Badloves, Russell Morris and John Farnham. During this time, he worked with the community in developing alcohol free and drug free events.
